Israeli aid team in Fiji stresses mental health needs

An Israeli aid team is in Fiji addressing the mental health needs of cyclone survivors as well as their physical problems.

The Embassy of Israel in Australia is working in conjunction with IsraAid to rebuild the remote village of Vuma on the island of Ovalau.

As well as contributing to the reconstruction and providing emergency relief, the Israeli government is also providing specialists in a number of fields ranging from mental health to sanitation and agriculture.

Hagit Krakow from IsraAid says they’re taking a holistic approach to the rebuilding process.
