Tales of a City by the Sea

Rami is an American born Palestinian doctor and activist who falls in love with Jomana when he goes to work in Gaza in 2008.

As the situation darkens, love and idealism are both tested to the maximum as they tussle with the demands of staying and the temptation of leaving for a far better life elsewhere.

Set against a background of constant threat and frequent attack, Samah Sabawi’s play Tales of a City by the Sea tells the stories of the people beneath the bombs and behind the broken walls.
