Walk for Peace and Tolerance

On Sunday 6th November the JCMA Friendship Walk took place on a sunny afternoon in Melbourne as Jews, Christians and Muslims joined together to spend an afternoon walking together in friendship and goodwill between a church, synagogue and a mosque.   Starting at  St Peters Eastern Hill Anglican Church they walked across the road to the East Melbourne Hebrew Congregation Synagogue and then onto to the Albanian Mosque in Carlton North.   They started with a prayer of peace and reflections and then learned about some of the history and traditions of each of the places they visited.
