Donald Trump, a clueless pilgrim, should have taken lessons from John Howard

This is what we have come to.

A bloated man-child who is presumed to lead the Western world breezes through Israel’s memorial to 6 million murders and leaves behind a tweet-length message in block letters that may as well have yelped, “wassup bro”.

Donald Trump’s message in the visitor’s book at Yad Vashem, Israel’s holocaust museum: “IT IS A GREAT HONOR TO BE HERE WITH ALL OF MY FRIENDS – SO AMAZING + WILL NEVER FORGET!” is matched in dumbfounding lack of perception only by the comments of his commerce secretary, Wilbur Ross.

Ross, having visited Saudi Arabia with Trump, left with high praise because “there’s no question they’re liberalising their society” and “there was not a single hint of a protester there during the whole time we were there; not one guy with a bad placard”.
