US withdraws from UNESCO: “We’d like to see the politics kept out of it”

The United States has announced it’s pulling out of the UN’s educational, scientific and cultural agency, UNESCO.

It claims the agency is biased against Israel, and is in need of fundamental reform.

Israel plans to follow suit, but others in the international community have reacted with dismay.
