Lighting of Hanukkah menorah now in seventh year

The sixth night of Hanukkah will be given special significance at the Launceston Synagogue on Sunday night with the annual lighting of the menorah.

Now in its seventh year, the ceremony will feature a range of special guests, including MP Ross Hart and Launceston City Council mayor Albert van Zetten.

In addition to the lighting of the menorah, there will also be face painting, Hanukkah doughnuts, fresh latkes, chocolate gelt and fidget spinner driedels for the kids.
