Leaders from around the world have reacted with concern and alarm to the US President’s official recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Protests have broken out and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas is calling for a “day of rage” in the region.
Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and Shadow Foreign Minister Penny Wong have joined the condemnation.
