A new report shows how Amazon continues to host the selling of hateful items including Nazi clothing, jewellery and stickers.
The report titled, ‘Delivering Hate: How Amazon’s Platforms Are Used To Spread White Supremacy, Anti-Semitism, and Islamophobia and How Amazon Can Stop It’ was written by two advocacy groups, Partnerships for Working Families and the Action Centre on Race and the Economy.
The study says a number of these products were targeted at children.
The report slams Amazon saying, “These uses of Amazon’s platforms are made possible by what appear to be inadequate and poorly enforced policies. Amazon has a policy against ‘products that promote or glorify hatred, violence, racial, sexual or religious intolerance or promote organisations with such views’ and reserves its right to remove any listing it deems inappropriate.”
It continues saying, “Either Amazon does not find the materials outlined in this report offensive or otherwise contrary to its policies, or it does not consistently enforce its own policies.”
