Protests in Iran over water shortages

Chronic water shortages in Iran have seen farms abandoned, rivers running dry, and rural people moving to the cities, where the water situation is little better.

Iranian ministers have publicly acknowledged the problem, one even warning Iran could be uninhabitable in coming decades.

But citizens are taking to the streets in a slew of cities, as they see no sign of action.
