Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu could be on the verge of clinching victory in the nation’s third election in under a year.
After leading a caretaker government since December 2018 – exit polls have the Israeli Prime Minister predicted to pick up 60 seats in the Knesset – one short of an outright majority.
But with Mr Netanyahu set to face a criminal trial on corruption charges in two weeks time – it may be up to the nation’s courts to determine whether he’s entitled to form a government.
