On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Federal Treasurer warned antisemitism is on the rise at home and abroad.
Josh Frydenberg said seeing counter-protesters at Melbourne’s Invasion Day rally wearing tee-shirts bearing the name of the extremist Proud Boys group was “frightening”.
“I think it’s very concerning,” he told Virginia Trioli on Mornings.
“There is a rise in far-right conspiracy theories and antisemitism globally, as well as here in Australia.”
