Treasurer Josh Frydenberg says antisemitism is on the rise in Australia

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Federal Treasurer warned antisemitism is on the rise at home and abroad.

Josh Frydenberg said seeing counter-protesters at Melbourne’s Invasion Day rally wearing tee-shirts bearing the name of the extremist Proud Boys group was “frightening”.

“I think it’s very concerning,” he told Virginia Trioli on Mornings.

“There is a rise in far-right conspiracy theories and antisemitism globally, as well as here in Australia.”
