A neo-Nazi murderer serving a life sentence in a Perth prison allegedly plotted to escape custody using guns and “guerrilla warfare techniques” during an upcoming hospital visit.
Prisoner Robert Edhouse, 24, is accused of conspiring with fellow Aryan Nations member Corey Dymock, 24, to plan the jail break through a coded letter and telephone calls.
During a hearing in Perth Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, the police prosecutor said investigators intercepted the letter and decoded it to say, “If you are my bro, I need you to use the money to buy guns and break me out when I go to hospital for my operation”.
Police alleged Mr Dymock intended to extort $5000 from a man he and Edhouse believed ratted on them during their 2018 murder trial and use the cash to purchase guns.
The court heard Edhouse was convicted of the 2016 murder of Alan Taylor and sentenced to a minimum of 21 years behind bars, while Mr Dymock was found guilty of the lesser charge of being an accessory to murder.
Mr Dymock was arrested on February 18 and a search of his home allegedly uncovered a note with a man’s address and ‘$5k’ written beside it.
