The project called Whispered in Gaza is an animated series created from video testimony from Gazans who’ve voiced their true feelings about life, not so much under blockade, but under Hamas rule. Whispered in Gaza is an initiative of the US-based not-for-profit the Centre for Peace Commuications and this week the Islamic Fatwa Council, based in the Iraqi religious capital of Najaf, issued a fatwa charging Hamas with violating the laws of the Holy Quran and teachings of the Noble Prophet Mohammad (Peace be Upon Him).
Guest: Joseph Braude, founder of the Center for Peace Communications.
Listen to the interview with Julian Morrow on RN Sunday Extra.
[Editor: This interviewed followed after Julian Morrow had listened to a podcast of ‘The Israel Connexion‘ program about ‘Whispered in Gaza’. In a major initiative of the Centre for Peace Communications, Gazans from all walks of life share their stories, struggles, and hopes for the future. To protect their identities, testimony is shown using video animation in lieu of the speakers’ actual visages.]
