Indigenous leader William Cooper stood up to the Nazis

Born on Yorta Yorta land on the Murray River, William Cooper was a leading figure in the early battles for Indigenous rights in Australia.

In the wake of the Nazi’s Kristallnacht attacks on Jewish people in Germany, Cooper led a protest march on the German Consulate in Melbourne.

Writer, broadcaster and a descendant of William Cooper, Daniel James, joins Pav to share this fascinating history.
