This Sunday is the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur – the Day of Atonement, but becaue of COVID many Jews will be unable to go to synagogue. Our latest film, ‘Yom Kippur in Lockdown’ focusses on the Jews of Melbourne who are in stage 4 lockdown and how one synagogue pivots to offering an online service. The film will be broadcast at 4pm this Sunday on @ABCNetwork TV and around the world on @ABCReligionandEthics Facebook Page (9am Israel, 7am UK, some time Saturday in North America etc) where you can hear the Kol Nidrei prayer and get inspired for the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
