Small country. No market. Conflicted region. Zero natural advantages. Sound like a recipe for success? Yet somehow Israel has made it work. And not just a little. A per capita analysis from 2015 reveals there was twice as much investment in Israeli startups compared to their US counterparts. Tel Aviv is home to the most dense startup ecosystem in the world and per capita Israel has more startups than any other country.
I recently spent a week in Israel with muru-D, and was blown away by the experience. The ecosystem is mature and growing. Israelis are proud and defiant. And it really does live up to its name as the startup nation.
