Iran held military exercises involving missile and radar systems on Saturday, just a day after the US Trump administration imposed new sanctions on Tehran for a recent ballistic missile test.
The morning drills were an illustration of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ rejection of sanctions and preparedness to deal with threats, according to the guards’ official website.
“We will do our best to defend the Iranian nation’s security day in and day out, and if the enemy makes any mistake our roaring missiles will land on their heads,” Brigadier General Amirali Hajizadeh, the IRGC aerospace forces’ commander, was quoted as saying.
