US President Donald Trump warned Israel on Friday that he did not believe that building more homes in Jewish settlements in the West Bank was “good for peace” and said he wanted Israel to “act reasonably” as his administration explores paths to broker peace talks.
Mr Trump’s comments to an Israeli newspaper appeared as Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with advisers to plot a strategy for his first face-to-face meeting in the White House with Mr Trump on Wednesday.
