Anti-Semitic material has been found at five Australian universities in the past month, with two groups claiming responsibility.
Posters advocating the killing of Jews were placed at Melbourne’s La Trobe University by a group called Antipodean Resistance, which also claimed to have placed swastika stickers at Sydney University last week.
Sydney University Students Union president Michael Rees discovered some of the offensive stickers on Thursday.
He said he hoped the perpetrators weren’t students but if they were, then the university should take serious action.
“How can you be so ignorant? It’s terrible,” Mr Rees said.
A Sydney University spokeswoman said anyone caught responsible for the stickers would face exclusion from university premises and be referred to police.
