A NEW synagogue in Bondi Beach is back on the cards despite being recently blocked by a court because of terrorism concerns.
The development application for the place of worship, as well as two unit blocks, on Wellington St was modified and resubmitted about a fortnight ago.
“The security of the synagogue and its locality will be managed by the Jewish Community Security Group in consultation with the NSW Police Service,” the new application said in addressing the security concerns.
“The increased level of security for the synagogue will have a beneficial impact on the locality by providing surveillance of the street and the properties in the vicinity of the subject site.”
