Israel’s Supreme Court has ordered former Melbourne school principal and accused child molester Malka Leifer be kept in police custody in hospital while it considers moving her to house arrest.
Victorian police are seeking the extradition of the 54-year-old on 74 charges.
Israeli prosecutors say she is feigning mental illness to avoid extradition, but her lawyer, Yehuda Frieda, told the court in Jerusalem on Thursday she is not a flight risk.
