South Australian cattle from the live export ship, Bader III, arrive covered in faeces in Israel

A VIDEO of cattle covered head to toe in faeces has emerged after the animals were unloaded from the controversial live export ship, Bader III, in Israel.

The Israel Against Live Shipments group has released a video of the cattles’ condition in Israel after they were loaded in Adelaide and Fremantle, late last month.

Group spokeswoman Anat Refua said their investigators were “appalled” at the condition of the animals arriving in Eilat, during an intense heatwave of 44C.

“The stench was unbearable and the cattle were covered in faeces from head to toe,” Ms Refua said.

“It is despicable for both Israeli and Australian governments to allow such a trade to operate despite all the evidence of animal suffering.”

A Bill this week was introduced into Israel’s Knesset to phase out all live animal imports.
