Labor MP Michael Danby’s office targeted in ‘cowardly act of hate’

Jewish groups have described anti-Israel activists who vandalised retiring Labor MP Michael Danby’s office as “small-minded bigots” who have committed a “cowardly act of hate”.

The windows of Mr Danby’s St Kilda office were plastered with prepared stickers on Saturday night.

The Brisbane branch of anti-Israel group “Justice for Palestine” boasted about the act on social media a short time later, displaying photographs of vandalism.

The stickers accused Mr Danby of being “silent on apartheid”, “silent on the mass murder of unarmed men, women, infants, children, medics and journalists”, and “silent on ethnic cleansing”.

Another sticker proclaimed: “Silence gives Israel a green light to commit genocide! But only when it happens in occupied Palestine!”
