Iran has signalled its ready to fully comply with its commitments under the 2015 nuclear agreement but only after the incoming Biden administration reinstates Washington’s membership to the deal.
Donald Trump withdrew the US from the agreement in 2018 but US president-elect Joe Biden has indicated that one of his top foreign policy priorities when he takes office next month will be for the US to rejoin the deal.
But that’s causing headaches in Israel with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu personally campaigning against the US re-engaging with Iran.
