Opposing Iran nuclear deal, Israel playing “spoiler” with Natanz attack

The attack, thought to be carried out by Israel, on Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility is hanging over the resumption of talks in Vienna aimed at reviving an agreement to contain Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. Professor Boroujerdi says there’s no doubt Israel carried out the attack, designed to embarrass the Islamic Republic as it marked its nuclear achievements with a day of celebration and to signal Israeli opposition to the nuclear deal. Professor Boroujerdi says Iran’s talk of retaliation is hot air. But with Iran’s elections in June likely to return a conservative President, the nuclear deal could be running out of time.
