Israel is continuing to bombard Gaza with air strikes, the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying the military offensive will go on for as long as it takes to “restore calm” for all of Israel’s citizens.
Palestinian militants have also resumed cross-border rocket fire, while a UN agency estimates 52 thousand Palestinians have been displaced by the conflict.
