Bachar Houli Donates Premiership Jersey To Fund Supporting Palestine Crisis

Richmond star Bachar Houli has decided to auction off his 2017 match-worn Premiership jumper, with 100% of proceeds going towards aiding orphans in Palestine.

The jumper auction will be attached to the ‘Human Appeal Australia’ foundation, Houli shared in a social media post on Tuesday afternoon.

“The Palestine crisis has impacted so many people and the hurt of our brothers and sisters in Palestine has been felt right across the world.

“The loss of lives and homes has torn apart families and communities. I have been heart broken watching videos of the devastation and wanted to do something that will not only support the crisis but also bring attention to the people that we can all help in some way.”

Houli expressed that this particular game-worn apparel is from one of his most treasured moments across his illustrious 15-year career.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a long withstanding and enduring hostile situation, with the Israeli occupying parts of the Gaza Strip. Peace between the countries is yet to be achieved. The attacks on Palestinian civilians has established conflict across the globe.

Shared through the ‘Bachar Houli Foundation’, the decision to send off a prized possession is one that well-resembles Houli’s impressive compassion and humbleness for international issues and relation.
