Kanye West praised Hitler and the Nazis during an appearance on InfoWars, a show hosted by far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, known for making false claims around events such as the Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012.
The rapper said: “I see good things about Hitler… Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.”
Later he added: “I love Jewish people, but I also love Nazis.”
Appearing with his face covered by a black mask, West went on to mention that Planned Parenthood, a not for profit that provides sexual health care in the US, was engaged in “New World Order population eugenics that is happening to this date”.
The anti-semitic comments follow a spate of offensive remarks made by the rapper, including wearing a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt and expressing skepticism around the death of George Floyd.
Chair of the Anti-Defamation Commission, an Australian civil rights association, Dvir Abramovich, issued a statement in response to the comments.
“If anyone had any doubt, the latest, hate-filled rant by Kanye West, sitting next to Holocaust deniers and white supremacists, confirms that he is a blatant, unvarnished anti-semite who deserves our condemnation,” the statement read.
