An Australian NGO is sending supplies of diabetic equipment to ten Pacific nations.
Insulin for Life is organising the shipment of 90 thousand blood glucose test strips, 25 One Touch meters and 20 boxes of control solution, and the transport costs are being paid for by the Israeli government.
Insulin for Life President Ron Raab tells Bruce Hill that diabetes is a severe health challenge in the Pacific and while this one shipment of equipment is not going to do much by itself, if it saves just one life it’s worthwhile.
