Russia’s version of Dancing With The Stars features a pair dressed as Jewish concentration camp prisoners

WHEN is it okay to perform a Holocaust-theme skating routine?

If you’re in Russia, apparently. Social media users are calling for an apology from a pair of ice skaters — Andrew Burkovsjy and Tatyana Navka, who is the wife of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman — and from the country itself.

The pair dressed as Jewish concentration camp prisoners, wearing black-and-white striped jumpsuits with yellow Star of David patches. They also used make-up to make them appear gaunt and malnourished, I24 News reported.

The pair performed on the Russian reality television show Ice Age, which is similar to Channel Seven’s axed Dancing With The Stars, aired on Russia’s main TV station Channel 1.
