A controversial new law makes it illegal to accuse Poland of complicity in the Holocaust.

Approximately 6 million Polish citizens were killed during World War II, over half of whom were Jewish.

The Polish experience of the war was complex.

Although the Polish state did not collaborate and their leaders were targeted for extermination by the Nazis, the Poles were not innocent of crimes against Jews.
