Two Palestinians killed in border protest

Gaza health officials say two Palestinians have been killed by Israeli army fire as thousands of protesters assembled near Gaza’s border with Israel.

The Health Ministry says the 24-year-old was killed in a border area in northern Gaza on Friday.

Earlier in the day, a 25-year-old man was shot and killed in the same area. It says 40 protesters were wounded by gunfire or overcome by tear gas fired by Israeli troops from across the border fence.
