What started as weekly protests against Israel’s blockade of Gaza have become daily attempts by protesters to breach the border fence, with deadly retaliation from Israeli soldiers.
There are fears the Islamic militant group that governs Gaza, Hamas, is trying to provoke another war with Israel, which would have terrible humanitarian consequences for civilians in the territory.
