Scott Morrison’s proclamation that he was “open” to moving Australia’s embassy in Israel to Jerusalem has once again put Australia-Indonesia relations in jeopardy.
The statement, which has been accused of being more connected to appeasing Jewish voters in the Wentworth by-election than to foreign relations, infuriated the world’s most populous Muslim nation.
Now, there are fears recent progress in military cooperation could be unwound in retaliation if the Prime Minister follows through.
