Hamas, a militant Palestine organisation sent rockets firing into Israel. Now, Australia is anticipated to join a US-led resolution at the UN condemning the attacks, according to AAP.
Unsurprisingly, this move will shift Australia closer to Israel under our current PM. This comes as only last week Australia moved to vote, for the first time, against a UN resolution, which unequivocally denies Israel’s claim ‘to sovereignty over Jerusalem’, AAP reports.
On Thursday, The Australian reported that the Morrison government, in the weeks ahead, will decide whether or not it will move the Australian Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.
