Netanyahu promises forceful response to Gaza attacks

Seven people have been injured during a rocket attack on central Gaza, forcing Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cut short a visit to the United States. Mr Netanyahu says his country will not tolerate any attacks on his country, promising to ‘respond forcefully’. Hamas forces in Gaza have reportedly gone underground after being blamed for the strike. The Prime Minister had been in the US capital for a meeting with President Trump and congressional leaders but left ahead of what is expected to be a strong Israeli response to the attack.
