‘Bibi’ clear winner of Israeli election after initial uncertainty

In Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s governing right-wing Likud Party appears to be neck-and-neck with his main centrist rival for seats in the new parliament.

With final results still hours away, the early indications are that the 69-year-old Mr Netanyahu has suffered a setback by failing to score a decisive victory, but is on course to continue leading the government.
