Middle Eastern nations speak out against Israel-UAE peace deal

The peace agreement brokered by US President Donald Trump between Israel and the United Arab Emirates has failed to curb anti-government rallies in Israel and attracted strong reactions from neighbouring Middle Eastern nations.

Israel agreed to pause its controversial settlement scheme affecting the West Bank as part of its deal to improve ties with the United Arab Emirates.

Iran and Turkey have condemned the move along with Hamas and Palestinian representatives.

Meanwhile, the massive crowd which descended on Paris Square in Jerusalem approximately six week ago, continues to demonstrate against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
