Anti-government protests continue despite new lockdown in Israel

More than a thousand anti-government protesters have been demonstrating in Jerusalem overnight, that’s despite Israel now going into a second coronavirus lockdown.

Weekly protests have taken place outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s official residence for nearly three months with protesters calling for his resignation.

Activists are accusing Mr Netanyahu of corruption and mishandling the pandemic.
