Andrew Bolt: Biden’s dealings with China and Iran a cause for concern

Joe Biden has already botched critical tests with two of the world’s most dangerous countries — and we should be worried.

I had no idea I’d miss Donald Trump this soon. Joe Biden has already botched critical tests with two of the world’s most dangerous countries.

Yes, I know Trump is a liar who burned off a lot of supporters by screaming “election fraud”.

But look how new President Biden has so far dealt with China and Iran.

Last week, an Iranian-backed Shiite militia claimed credit for firing 24 rockets at a US base in Kurdish Iraq. By some miracle, only one American soldier was wounded and one non-US contractor killed.

There seems little doubt that Iran – or its state-funded terror proxies – is testing the new president, but so far the Biden team has refused to hit back, talking instead about needing an “investigation” and avoiding drawing “red lines”.

This was not the Donald Trump way. In 2019, another Iranian-backed terror group in Iraq, Kataib Hezbollah, fired a missile that killed an American contractor.

In response, the Trump administration bombed five of its bases. When radical protesters then laid siege to the US Embassy, Trump ordered a missile strike that killed both the Kataib leader and Iran’s most revered general, who was visiting his man in Baghdad.
