Israeli prime ministerial candidate Benjamin Netanyahu has a ‘commitment to strength’

Australia/Israel and Jewish Affairs Council’s Dr Colin Rubenstein says former Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech on election night, saying he will govern for all Israelis, was “reassuring”.

Mr Netanyahu is on track to win a majority in parliament with the support of the Religious Zionism party.

Dr Rubenstein said Mr Netanyahu has a record of being “pragmatic” and “getting things done”.

“His record and his firmness and his commitment to strength, and also his ability to make deals – I mean he does get on quite well on the international stage,” Dr Rubenstein told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
