Israel has been brought to its knees by mass protests over plans that would allow its parliament to override its supreme court, paving the way for further incursions into the West Bank.
The protests have created the biggest internal crisis in the country’s history, prompting fears its national security could be at risk. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has backed down, but only temporarily.
