The United Nations Security Council will meet behind closed-doors later this week to discuss Israel’s biggest West Bank military operation in recent years, which is winding down after two days of intense violence.
At least 12 Palestinians and one Israeli soldier have been killed in the fighting, which forced thousands of Palestinians to flee their homes, and left a swath of damage.
