Freed Australian travel blogger Jolie King has reportedly agreed to visit her cell mate from an Iranian prison, according to the woman’s husband.
Freed Australian travel blogger Jolie King has promised to visit British detainee Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe when she is finally released from Iran’s notorious Evin prison.
Ms King, who was released alongside her partner Mark Firkin just over a week ago, had shared a cell with Ms Zaghari-Ratcliffe inside the prison near Tehran.
Details of their relationship emerged as Ms Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s daughter Gabriella returned to London to start school.
The five-year-old has been separated from her father Richard Ratcliffe for three-and-a-half years while his wife was arrested in Iran on politically motivated charges.
Mr Ratcliffe said his wife was pleased for Ms King, but frustrated at her own situation.
“Jolie was in the same cell as Nazanin, the bunk above and they promised to visit each other one day,” he said.
Mr Ratcliffe said Ms King had appeared happy before her release but was still unsure if she would get out.
He said she did not reveal “any magic tricks” of how to get out of the prison.
