Dumped Labor frontbencher Tony Piccolo has taken on the Palestinian cause, putting an ambitious notice of motion before the Parliament wading into the minutiae of the Israeli conflict.
In an eight-part treatise, the one-time police minister wants the House of Assembly to acknowledge that “Palestinians have suffered under an Israeli occupation for fifty years” and have been “the victims of massive dispossession for seventy years”.
