The Australian’s Greg Sheridan says Labor’s recognition of Palestine will not achieve any benefits. Labor has announced at its national conference that the party will recognise Palestine as a state, embracing a two state solution with Israel. Mr Sheridan told Sky News the move is ‘gesture politics’ and will only defame Israel and possibly upset the US.
